Rough Puff Pastry
Refined flour (or) Maida

225gm

Butter
|
150 to 170gm
|
Squeeze of lemon juice
|

Cold water
|
For mixing

Method
1. Shift flour and salt together into a bowl.
2. Add butter cut into small cubes.(do not rub it).
3. Mix with lemon juice and sufficient cold water to make a stiff dough.
4. Turn onto a lightly floured board and roll into a rectangle keeping the edges straight.
5. Fold bottom third of pastry up and top third down. Seal the edges lightly with a rolling pan.
6. Set aside for 15 minutes in a cool place.
7. Turn pastry so that folded edge is to your right. Repeat rolling, folding and turning three or four times.
8. Roll out and use as required.
9.Bake at 250°C for about 15 to 20 minutes.
